Although I’ve been on holiday this week and been able to take my mind off the stresses of work, I’ve been really busy and therefore not found time to write anything since my last post on the 10th February.
I’ve had a great week, starting with a friends 30th birthday last week that finished with a 2.5 hour karaoke session at Lucky Voice, in The Printworks, Manchester. Did I mention I love karaoke? 🙂
On Valentines Day, my wife booked us into a local spa and we both had an amazing full body massage.
Tuesday saw me reach the grand old age of 33. Again my wife spoiled me rotten with a new pair of Oakley sunglasses and the absolutely amazing Apple Magic TrackPad. I think I’m going to have to write a review for the TrackPad, what a brilliant piece of kit that has made using my Mac so much quicker and easier!
Wednesday, we did a spot of shopping at Cheshire Oaks and the Trafford Centre before going to see The King’s Speech at the cinema. I love watching films about real-life events and thought this particular film was fantastic. A great, fascinating storyline with some brilliant performances from the actors/actresses.
Thursday, I treated my 5 year old godson to a trip to Legoland Discovery Centre at the Trafford Centre. We had a great time and even after 4.5 hours there he didn’t want to leave!
Yesterday, saw me put the finishing touches to my Best Man’s speech for the wedding this weekend, I’m frantically trying to finish this post before heading off to Leeds for a round of golf with some of the wedding party today, ahead of the wedding on Sunday. I believe it is snowing in Leeds at the moment, so the golf will be “interesting” to say the least, that’s if it’s not cancelled!
This brings me on to the wedding tomorrow… I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a little bit nervous. I’ve got to stand up in front of 80 people and try to deliver a humorous speech! Even though I finished it yesterday, I still found myself wide-awake at 3:30 this morning having thought about other stuff that I just have to include.
Following the wedding, it’s my wife’s birthday on Monday, I hope she likes her present. Unfortunately, she has to go to work whilst I’ll probably be nursing a hangover from the wedding.
So, after a jam-packed week, I shall be returning to work on Tuesday for a well-earned rest…
Update: I’ve just been told that the golf has definitely been cancelled as the course is covered in snow! Bugger…
