Champions League Draw

AS Roma v Shakhtar Donetsk
AC Milan v Tottenham Hotspur
Valencia v Schalke 04
Inter v Bayern Munich
Olympique Lyon v Real Madrid
Arsenal v Barcelona
Olympique Marseille v Manchester United
FC Copenhagen v Chelsea

From an English point of view, Chelsea have effectively been given a bye into the next round, suggesting that the Russian’s have now moved on to bribing UEFA officials. The other two London clubs have been given the toughest tests in my opinion, with Arsenal drawn against reigning champions Barcelona and Spurs given another trip to the San Siro, this time facing The Rossoneri, AC Milan.

Manchester United have got to be happy with their opposition. A trip to France to the Velodrome to play Marseille. I think that this is the first time these two clubs have faced each other, certainly in the Champions League, so it should be a special occasion for both sets of travelling fans . The French partisan crowd are always in good voice and with former Manchester United turncoat, Gabriel Heinze involved, it should make for a cracking atmosphere home and away.
